It's great that Michigan has a plan for eliminating HCV. The state government needs to put their money where their mouth is. It is very challenging for PCP offices to treat people with HCV. Many people who have been diagnosed have little trust in the medical system. Follow up during treatment is essential to compliance in taking the medication consistently. If a patient ends up incarcerated, there needs to be coordination to continue treatment.
