I was told several years ago that I had hepatitis c. I did the harvoni treatment. And I am now supposedly hepatitis c free although I cannot donate blood. Last week I got a new primary care physician and she told me that I have hemochromatosis also. Right now I'm just doing all my own research on having the two blood diseases.

I sincerely thank you for this article. I was told yesterday my hep c was cured. The doctor's nurse told me I still needed to be followed due to my age and other factors. However, my doctor came in and said the follow-up was not necessary. I will send my doctor a copy of this article. Thank you so very much
