Hi Kimberly, Thanks for commenting. With the links I gave you, search out the different resources that will fit your son's needs. Those links have many different resources available to help with treatment. I've heard from other Hep C Patients that Needy Meds is a good one as well. Also many pharmaceutical companies have programs to help, they are listed in the links I listed. Here are the links for information on State and Social Security Medical Disability: Unfortunately, I don't think Alabama is one of the state that offer State Disability, but double check to make sure. About State Medical Disability: http://www.lifebeyondhepatitisc.com/2013/08/applying-for-state-medical-disability-with-hep-c-by-hep-c-warrior-debbie/ About Social Security Medical Disability: www.lifebeyondhepatitisc.com/2013/08/hepatitis-c-and-social-security-disability-benefits-by-guest-writer-molly-clarke/ www.lifebeyondhepatitisc.com/2013/08/hepatitis-c-and-social-security-disability-benefits-by-guest-writer-molly-clarke-part-2/ Let me know if I can be of further help. You & Brandon are in my prayers. Blessings, Connie Welch Life Beyond Hepatitis C.com

Hi Kimberly, Thank you for writing and sharing about your son. I am so sorry to hear this news. It is frustrating when faced with needing treatment and finding the financial resources to make it happen. I have a list of resources that help with treatment expenses. Here are the links: www.lifebeyondhepatitisc.com/medical-information/financial-assistance/ www.lifebeyondhepatitisc.com/resource-and-support/financial-and-medication-assistance-programs/ (This one has a variety of help from different sources). Be persistent! The right help is out there. Depending on which state you live in there is also State Medical Disability and also Social Security Medical Disability. Let me know if you would like the resource links to these. I will be keeping your son in my prayers. Blessings~ Connie Welch Life Beyond Hepatitis C.com

Hi Kimberly, Sorry to hear about your son's troubles. Hep has a section called 'Patient Assistance and Co-Pay Programs for Viral Hepatitis Drugs' (www.hepmag.com/articles/hepatitis_paps_copays_20506.shtml) where you can find help with paying for drugs. You can also post in the Hep Forums (forums.hepmag.com) where you can reach others battling the same issues as you. Best, Hep Editors
